AI and Inspection Disclaimer
Last updated: June 2, 2026
Smart Start includes AI-assisted tools for business setup, customer questions, quote support, and report draft language. These tools are support tools, not a replacement for inspector judgment.
AI draft-only rule
AI-generated inspection language is draft support only. A licensed or qualified inspector must review, edit, approve, and take responsibility for final report language before it is delivered to a client.
No legal advice
Smart Start does not provide legal advice. Agreement language, report disclaimers, state requirements, inspection standards, and business policies should be reviewed by the inspection company and its legal or compliance advisor.
No code compliance guarantee
Smart Start does not guarantee code compliance, repair scope, defect diagnosis, valuation, insurance coverage, or contractor outcome. Final inspection conclusions require inspector review and field judgment.
Customer assistant limits
The customer-facing assistant can answer general questions, explain services, support booking, and route requests. It should not be treated as a final inspection report, legal opinion, engineering opinion, or repair guarantee.
Inspector approval
Inspection businesses using Smart Start should keep human approval in place for reports, agreements, pricing decisions, client communications, and sensitive business actions.
